Allen & Ginter's eBay Hot Pack Experiment - VIDEO
I bought a hot pack from eBay for $36 shipped and I was skeptical from the beginning so I took a video of the pack of cards when I received it. The glue looked good, didn't see any tampering with the pack at all.

Here is the end result:

Not worth the $36 I paid to gamble but at least it's something.

$36 seems rather high for a hot pack like that. On eBay the buy it nows are $18.99 + $3 shipping.

You can get an entire box for less on eBay.

The day I was bidding all the hot packs were going for $30+ from this particular seller. Probably because he is the most honest one with the best feedback out of all the hot pack sellers.

Getting an auto out of your hot pack means he should be pretty legit. Most of the time, the hot packs only yield worthless junks. Although I probabily wouldn't bay over $30 for a hot pack.

I started collecting again a few weeks ago and I didn't even know what Allen & Ginters was and until now, I didn't realize I overpaid. Lesson learned.

Hot packs are fun when they're cheap. I don't really care who I get; the rush of pulling stuff is still fun. Most Hot Packs are retail bought (or so I assume) so getting a GREAT player or card isn't something I expect to do, but its still a lot of fun.
