Panini Rookies & Stars case... No low #'s
I went by my local card shop early this morning and the owner was just starting to open a case of Panini Stars & Rookies. I decided to stick around to see his "case hit."
He pulled some nice stuff, a couple Brandon Jennings autos, Johnny Flynn auto (which was badly damaged from the factory) Tyreke Evans, etc.
The problem... no low #'d cards! The lowest serial #'d card was out of 50, for the whole case!
So why would Panini not put any 1/1's, 1/3's, 1/5's, or even 1/10's?
I think this shows how far away from the hobby Panini really is. Even if this is Panini's budget product for young collectors there should still be some gems hidden in there right?
Did my dealer just get the wackest case? Let me know if you guys have seen any low #'d cards from Panini yet, maybe my dealer got screwed.

Prestige has some #/10 but the lowest we got from our case hit was #/25

They are probably building up to that--imagine if their first or second product was loaded with cards /10 or 1/1s, it would set your expectations for every release to have something like that. They are probably best at this point not to put stuff out like Topps Co-Signers that had all the plates, 1/1s, /5/, /9, /19, etc. that gets overwhelming quickly.

"Case hit" imo is a nice buzz phrase to get people to spend thousands of dollars for a $200-$300 dollar card......maybe. Unless they explicitly tell you to expect one, I wouldn't. To answer the question though, the card (#/10) below I pulled from a few boxes which was a nice surprise since I wasn't expecting anything that low.

I posted a box break of Panini Rookies & Stars last night in the 'box breaks' section of the forum. I pulled both of these in the box and they were both /10. Maybe his case was a little off...
