    Panini Elite Preview

    http://blogbeckett.wordpress.com/200...te-basketball/
Now here's a Panini Product that will please most people. I think the overall look of these cards will make the so-so cards seem good still. There's a hefty price on each box though. the card world has em listed in the low 90's. Still sounds worth it though.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Should have stayed away from rookie & Stars!

    I don't like it. . .

Is it just me? But I don't like how these basketball cards look like and reminds me of football cards.

It's nice that they took away the ugly yellow panini logo, but they replaced it with the equally blocky and unattractive Donruss Elite logo.

I think I'll continue to stay away from breaking any Panini products for now. I'm torn too because I like Bulls cards, but have disliked Panini products thus far.

too many sticker autos, and most, not all, of the 2nd rd picks in this draft have not played so well.

I find it funny how when they broke rookies and stars, Tracy and etc were beaming like angels of the Taylor Griffin auto....he has played only 1 game so far.

patch hits are becoming like normal GU hits.....

now, my LCS had two cases of this come in today.
saw a guy breaking one. Hope he enjoys his rodrigue beaubois auto, jeff pendergraph auto, danny granger gu, omri casspi auto

Not bad, pretty much feeling all of them except the 'Elite Threads' set.
HUGE waste of space on that 'Teamwork' set as well...

The cards are coming along, I will get a few off the bay.
I like how the Prestige had the NY Draft Night cards with on card autos, wish there were more like that in this set. Also, they should make cards with pieces of ball or hat like Bowman did last year.

That card might end up being decent at least. He is looking really good. Very fast guy.

you cant really blame panini though for a subpar draft class overall... Would this product be better if a couple late rounders exploded onto the scene?

Sub par draft class? This draft is going to be known as the best PG draft class ever!
Plus there were are a bunch of good players drafted in the 2nd round that had great college careers and could become NBA stars. Heres a few to watch IMO:

Jeff Pendergraph - Saw him play alot at ASU, solid bigman
    Dejuan Blair
    Sam Young
    Patrick Mills
Chase Budinger - watched alot of his UofA games this guy is sick
    Marcus Thorton
    Danny Green
    Jon Brockman
    Jonas Jerebko

Plus Ive never heard somebody say " I need to get a box from 2004-05, the 2nd round draft picks that year were the best" We buy boxes for the top, hot picks and superstar autos
