    Smashed Cards

I was wondering if any of you have ever had to deal with a UPS claim for damaged cards? I just had four unopened boxes delivered to me that I bought on Ebay. I could tell immediately there was damage when I opened the box. All of the boxes had the sides pushed in 1/2 an inch. I opened two packs from one of those boxes and 5 out of 20 cards were damaged.

What I am asking is do I open the remaining packs to determine the extent of the damage or just leave them unopened? There are probably some decent cards left undamaged but I can't be sure unless I open them.

    Any opinions?

    You already opened the box
so you cannot file a claim anymore

    Something similar happened to me.
A seller on eBay charges $3 for shipping (card was $.99 LOL) and ships UPS "to insure the cards get there safely" I got the card and it was all messed up...it was so bad the top loader was warped.
All I had to do was email the seller and tell him. He refunded me the money. No questions asked.
So, what I would recommend would be emailing the seller and explain to him the condition of the boxes ... "All of the boxes had the sides pushed in 1/2 an inch" ...so, you opened them to see the condition of the cards... "5 out of 20 cards were damaged"
It would probably depend on the seller's reputation and your eBay reputation, but I am sure he would be understanding enough to try and work things out, if nothing else he might refund you for the unopened boxes/packs. Hope everything turns out okay!
