Thierry Henry's Revised Wikipedia Bio
Hopefully, it's OK to post this...As an Irish-American, I enjoyed reading the introductory paragraphs of Thierry Henry's wikipedia bio as they were temporarily revised following Ireland's WC disqualification and Henry's admission that France's winning goal had hit his hand: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...ldid=326715091

I don't think that was necessary but I do agree with you Ireland deserved better. I think Henry is still a great player but this may tarnish his reputation a little bit. I FIFA/UEFA is to blame for this. They need to have a fifth official up in a booth that could watch replays and quickly tell the ref (through the earpiece) the right call. Either that or an official behind the goal clearly would have caught that. I feel bad for the ref, he was in a good position to see the box but not Henry handle the ball.
Sorry to all of the Irish, I hope someday all of the right decisions can be made in football.
For those who want a replay, you can write here to fifa

Bitterness. All this anti-Henry campaigns are just silly. He cheated? Yes. Like many others cheat by instinct in almost every single football match. It´s part of the game and fans need to live with it. Not condone it, criticize it, but that´s it. No need to go over the top.
The irish need to get over it. After all they´re the one´s always saying the english need to get over the Hand of God.
