Ron Wilson: Part of the Problem or the Solution?

Is it just my imagination or has nobody in the hockey world floated the possibility of the Leafs replacing Ron Wilson behind the bench? I know he has a great reputation and a relationship with Burke but is he not on the hot seat as much as the players for this lousy start?

I agree that it would be akward at the olympics. I think it's funny how the Sharks flopped and now the Leafs are doing the same thing, sorta. Could there be a problem with him being able to motivate his players and/or put them in a position to succed?

On paper, Toronto has a pretty decent team. Not one that should be doing as poorly as they have been. The combination of those two things makes me believe that it's not the team, but the coach.

i think it both the team and coach .. but the leafs loss a lot of 1 goal games and they miss the net a lot just wide or hit the goal post and stays out winning teams gets the breaks same old story refrees bad calls like last night on white canes player cuts his own player and we serve 4 minutes

give it time a few changes here and there could be the coach is gone is one of them

The Leafs play a good game...but they lack the talent to finish off their chances. The coach can't do anything about that. The main problem with the Leafs right now is confidence. To be doing this poorly has to have a very intense effect on the players. They're very fragile right now and the game against the Hurricanes didn't help.

To try as hard as they do every game and to come up short every time must be the ultimate slap in the face. The key to success for the Leafs is more scoring...and with more scoring comes more confidence.

I'm going with no talent on the team, not Wilson's fault.

Personally I don't think Wilson is doing it. He has tried everything instead of sticking with a consistent system and approach. Definitely part of the problem is the players not performing but I really dislike Wilson's smug attitude with the media and fans. Very condescending. 3-11-6 for most coaches means they are fired especially with Burke stating he expected the team to make the playoffs. Actually surprised no coaches have been fired yet this season.
