Cleveland Rejects New LeBron James Mural

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/bal...urn=nba,204018

i would reject it too. the thing is too weird. and has nothing to do with the cavaliers. i thought it was an under armour ad at first. dont like it at all in comparison to the we are all witnesses sign with him dunking. good decision cleveland i couldnt inagine having to look at that thing everyday.

EDIT my computer was acting up and it accidentally posted this thread twice. please delete one if you wish

I wouldn't want that one either. The current one is awsome, I don't think anything can beat it.

Agreed...the banner is supposed to at least have something to do with the Cavaliers (supposedly the only way ODot lets Nike keep the banner up, since it had to do with the city itself)....this one was strictly about Nike.

They can't put it up until he signs that contract to stay a Cav :)

I don't know about the "Prepare for combat" slogan. I've always worn kevlar, not Nike Pro. Nike ticked me off a little with this one. There's a difference between a 48 minute game and a year in a war zone. I won't go any further on this topic so as not to violate SCF's TOS on political arguments.

On a more upbeat note, I like the current Lebron "Witness" promotion. It has become Lebron's trademark. I see people across all walks of life wearing it. Go with it, Nike. It works.

Why'd they reject that?!? It's the best thing ever...NOT! I do love this line in the article though:

Nike wants to replace the famous "We Are All Witnesses" banner with the semi-creepy one pictured above — LeBron, shirtless and lizard-like, "preparing for combat" with nothing more than a cold, hard stare and a basketball.

Oh, and I moved the duplicate thread to the archives.

they are probably not referencing the cavs so they can move the mural to MSG in the upcoming months
