    Sources: Knicks after McGrady

The Knicks have been trying to engage the Rockets in talks regarding Tracy McGrady since the summer.

Multiple sources told Newsday that New York could try to contact Houston again, this time with greater success, in the wake of reported issues between McGrady and the Rockets.

Isn't that interesting...they probably know about the McGrady curse, but they'd just like to get to the first round of the playoffs before they worry about reaching the second round...lol

lol, first AI and now T-Mac, boy do they go for these bad boys. And hey, even T-Mac is cursed, the Knicks would take it if he can actually take them to the playoffs.

I can see this happening. It sounds like the Rockets are done with T-mac & his salary.

i think the Knicks are trying to find a way to make up for there lost opportunity they had by not drafting Brandon Jennings.

Seriously, like it said in an article I read today on yahoo sports, passing up on Jennings may end up cursing the Knicks from getting Lebron. I mean, why would Lebron want to go to a team that not only doesn’t know how to sign the right free agents, but they don't even know how to scout rookies?

lol, I know this statement seems really random, but the Knicks decision making is really confusing me.

If they get McGrady it would be a no brainer as hes not signed past this year.
I totally agree with jeebus, the knicks have no clue how to draft... they draft forwards back to back years, which is one of their strongest positions, when point guard is their weakest position???? cmon get a clue guys.. im afraid they're putting all their eggs in the lebron basket and us fans are going to wind up with the egg on our faces

If the Rockets could somehow get David Lee, Nate Robinson, or even Danilo Gallinari for McGrady then the Rockets would be THAT much better... I doubt the Knicks would trade any of those guys though.

I think McGrady is way past his prime. I still think he can play. However, with all of his past injuries I think that he should just accept a smaller role on an elite team. Maybe he could get out of the first round then?

Knicks were rumored to be willing to part with Lee, Robinson and a first rounder in a deal for Ricky Rubio's rights...

Doubt he'd do that, as he still has a relatively large ego...would be nice to see, but I don't think it's going to happen...

I don't think T-Mac is like Iverson (ironically, I've followed both throughout their careers, and they are the only two guys I have jerseys of, lol). Since he hasn't gotten out of the first round yet, a la Grant Hill, I think he'd be willing to play for a better team even in a smaller role.
