CHIT-CHAT FF: Week 11 Wrap
WEEK 11 WRAP
And the log jam continues. Any time a team has a chance to pull away (or even just get a game ahead), they drop a game. And any time a team starts to drop out, they pull another one out. It seems like each team is going win, loss, win, loss...makes it interesting for sure. Like Ash said a while back, this is by far the most competitive league I've ever played in.
Recap of the Match ups
'Horns @ Novacaine - The Novacaine coach substituted Matt Forte for Kevin Smith 15 minutes before game time on Sunday...luckily he didn't need the 13 points he lost in that move. Waiver wire WRs Meachem and Chambers picked up the slack. The 'Horns had mediocre play all around and drop to 5-6 as a result.
Hellbillies @ That Thing - Texas had a 19 point lead going into MNF. Slaton and Bironas decided that wasn't enough and Ric Flair brings home the win. The Hellbillies get the Bench of the Week award for leaving 81 points on the bench, but who would have thought to start Jamaal Charles or Justin Forsett over Adrian Peterson?
Pillagers @ EFFECT!! - Chris Johnson is Jermz best friend, pulling out yet another win for the Truckers. That's 4 Ws in a row at the perfect time. The Pope, on the other hand, has dropped 2 in a row and needs to get back on track immediately for any shot at the playoffs.
Dwarves @ Stratusfaction - Apparently Jesse doesn't have the same relationship with Andre Johnson that Jeremy has with Chris Johnson. He asked for a paltry 30+ points in MNF, but Andre only gave him 13. The Stratus was set up nicely at 6-2 atop the league, but has lost 3 in a row and fell back into the pack. As a consolation prize, LA takes home the Worst Start of the Week award for Marshawn Lynch's -1.
Ramrod @ Blunts - This game was all about the Sticky Icky...the player, not the plant. Ramrod would have eeked out a W if he had started Ronnie Brown instead, but Ricky let him award the Blunts the Worst Loss of the Week trophy. Ramrod edges back into the lead league as one of only two teams at 7-4, while the Blunts fall back into the pack at 6-5.
• PABS!!! @ Victors - A very healthy stat line for the Victors shows only one player in single digits and that was a 7. A statement win takes them to the top of the standings alongside Ramrod at 7-4. The Slaps were 1 point away from tying for the worst loss of the week and have dropped 2 in a row allowing everyone to catch up. They do get the D/ST of the Week award for the Pats 19 points at least.
If the playoffs started today...
The seeds would be:
#1 - Team Ramrod
#2 - Los Angeles Stratusfaction
#3 - Hail to the Victors
#4 - Holy Roller Novacaine
#5 - FULL TRUCKER EFFECT!!
#6 - Philly Blunts
We have 6 teams at 6-5, half the league. And two teams are at 5-6 and only two games back with two to go. If Ramrod or Victors win next week, they should be in...it may be possible for them to miss the playoffs with one more loss, but it would take a whole lot of ifs and I'm not willing to figure it out. Pretty much every match up the next two weeks will have playoff implications. Why can't the real NFL be this entertaining?

pillagers & horns - eliminated with a loss & blunts win

Well Red, let me help you out with those questions of life ...
Most points scored because you have Chief Palmer at the helm
Most points allowed because there is no stopping the other teams
Still have the best record in your division because I'm not in there
You suck at home because your team folds when it get's boo'd
and that last one is easy .... ME!!!

Gotta love having the hardest road to the playoffs...I play a 6-5 and a 7-4, the only team that has to do that (nobody plays 7-4,7-4 either). I'm going to have to pull out some tough wins or have everybody else lose...which is kinda hard w/6 teams at 6-5.

I have a feeling my team strings me along for one more game and then loses the last one. That's how it's been all year.

I also have to play 6-5 and a 7-4.
