Real quick....something about Chad Knaus.
You know, since it's never Jimmie, it's always Chad....

Stacy Compton's 2001 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stats, with Chad Knaus as Crew Chief:
0 Wins, 0 Top-5's, 1 Top-10, 13 Laps Led, 33rd place in Points.
Jimmie Johnson's 2002 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stats, with Chad Knaus as Crew Chief:
3 Wins, 6 Top-5's, 21 Top-10's 838 Laps Led, 5th place in Points.
Jimmie's career finishes without Chad Knaus as his crew chief:
1st, 2nd, 1st, 6th.
Don't care if you hate him, but give him the respect he deserves.
That is all.

Stacy Compton was driving a piece of absolute poopy for a car-that Melling equipment was garbage-how Chad got it to go that fast is unreal-and Stacy Compton isnt Jimmie Johnson either haha.
The Jimmie finishes without Chad as crew chief stat isnt a good one-Chad set up the 500 car and hed won at Vegas the previous year-and Darian isnt exactly a slouch.
Jeremy you really dont have to defend Jimmie anymore-hes the only 4 time champ ever-people who dont like him and cant stand it (like me) have to get over it haha.

Your missing the point....I don't care if people hate him, but the fact that EVERYONE likes to claim that Jimmie's the SMALLEST reason he's a 4 time champ blows my mind.
If your gonna play the equipment card, then I guess Jimmie's at the very least better than 4-time Champ Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, and Dale Jr., since they all have the same equipment.

to me they are all equal reasons as to why they win-its got to be that way-Jimmie is a top tier driver obviously-those people who say hes not good at all are wrong-hes developed into a great talent. And a lot of the time I think when people say things like hes not a good driver at all are just extremely frustrated that he keeps winning so they vent and say stuff they dont really mean or believe-I know im guilty of that sometimes

back in the 90s everyone said the same thing about Jeff Gordon-all the Earnhardt fans thought that it was all Evernham as to why he kept beating Earnhardt, when in reality it was the combination of the two, just like Knaus and JJ.

I really haven't seen anything said bad about Jimmie after this championship, I am not sure why he keeps having to be defended so much? No doubt Knaus is a big part of 4 championships, so is Hendrick, and a decent crew that gets you pit spots. And good luck! Anyone has to have some luck to win, even Gordon and Dale Sr. had some lucky moments plus all those other things. I think Johnson fans have gotten so use to having to defend him they can't stop, kind of like us Dale Jr. fans :) !
But there is no doubt that Johnson winning all of these championships is horrible for the sport, especially when it is already struggling in pretty much all areas. Brian France really looks bad for doing the chase and having happen exactly what he was trying to fix and not have happen!
I think part of the reason people don't get on Johnson as much is b/c people just don't care anymore which isn't good for the sport.

Exactly, pretty much all the NASCAR fans I know around here (over 200 in 3 different pools) just don't care anymore, a good majority didn't even follow the chase after Talladega.
A lot of them are ready to give up completely if NASCAR implements the fuel injection program as it has been reported.
Most though don't have a problem with the Chase as much as the POS, as most say the first year Chase was OK but since the POS has
been implemented full time the lack of racing has stunk the joint out.

I think the term below is the best way to describe the perfect blend of driver, owner, crew chief and equipment...
syn⋅er⋅gism [sin-er-jiz-uhm] –nounLove them or hate them, JJ, Chad and Hendrick have it figured out.
the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc.
