After winning 4-1 againest Los Angeles at GM Place on Thursday, the Vancouver Canucks will try to get 4 wins in 5 games tonight againest the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers are in a bad situation with 4 wins in their past 17 games. The Oilers had only 86 seconds left to go in the game, up
4-3 againest San Jose, Friday night when Patrick Marleau scored a short-handed goal to tie the game. The Sharks then ended up winning in a shoot-out 5-4.

Henrik Sedin has 7 goals in his last 8 games and leads the Canucks with 14 goals and 26 points.
Ryan Potulny has 5 goals in the last 10 games. He is a player that the Canucks will be watching out for tonight.

Ales Hemsky will undergo surgery on his right soldier and will sit out for the remainder of the season.
Rick Rypien is questionable with a lower body injury. Pavel Demitra, Michael Grabner and Alex Bolduc are also injured.
Marc Pouliot is out until January with sports hernia surgery. Ryan Stone also doesn't look like he is going to play. Taylor Chorney, Robert Nilsson, Fernando Pisani, Nikolai Khabibulin and Denis Grebishkov are also out.

Last 10 games, Vancouver Canucks: 6-4-0
Last 10 games, Edmonton Oilers: 3-4-3

Puck-drop is at 7:00 pacific time, 10:00 eastern time.

Should be an exciting Northwest division game! Any comments on tonights game?

So, yeah, these are the games I love and dread (lol) the most every year. Being as these are my two favorite teams. Tough blow for the Oil loosing Hemsky for the year, they did play a pretty good game last night, but we know how that finished

But no matter what these two teams always put on a show for the fans. Regardless of the outcome, this will be the game of the night.

I predict Stortini and Rypien(if he's in the line-up for sure) will fight within the first 5 minutes of the game, or their first shift against each other lol

Should be a great game. Tanner Glass reminds me of Matt Cooke.... without the turtling. (sp...is that a word)

PS. hopefully Raymond gets back on the score sheet.

Raymond should do well with Kesler and Samuelsson. Hopefully he scores tonight

I would also like Vigneault to put Burrows onto the 2nd line and put Samuelsson on the first line.
Samuelsson would then be paired with his future teamates in 2010 (the Sedin twins) and Burrows would be with Kesler.

My sister is in a draw to win tickets for tonights game. Winner gets 4 tickets, 4 jerseys, and a limo ride to the game! I hope she wins, even though I won't be going with her as I live about 5 hours away from GM place.

I love watching these two teams go at it. Predictions anyone? I'm going to say Canucks win 4-3.

My prediction might come true! Canucks lead Oilers 4-0 with about 9 minutes gone in the game Deslauriers just got pulled.
