    The Cup and damaged cards??

Hi, i've recently gotten back into collecting buying/selling cards, and i don't own any "the cup" series. all i know is that they are super expensive and very collectible but it seems almost every scan i see of people showing their cards, the edges or corners are worn or damaged/nicked. what is the deal with that (in seinfeld voice). haha. seriously though, for the money that it cost to even buy a tin of the cup cards, are they known for cards, or are the people just not taking care of them which i also don't get. i handle cards as if they are gold.

    thanks for replies in advance

I think most of the damage you see is already done before the tin is open.

I would have to agree with ComancheKeen... A lot of us also handle cards, hell even base cards, as if they are gold. Upper Deck QA isn't really that good it seems when it comes to packaging cards. Their Customer Service is usually really good though.
