    hmm...

odd subject matter on the first one. The character design is pretty cool and the animation isn't bad. It has a south park influence to me. The opener and closer seem to be about the same thing and both are way too long. I think he only needs one or the other and needs to shorten the one he goes with. Seems like the character should be branded at the beginning and his production group at the end especially since he has the Maniac logo at the top of the screen during the actual movie. The first mark where sid's face is being zoomed in on is kind of longs as well. Seems like he needs to get to the point much faster. As far as the subject matter, he's obvious dark creatively. lol

The first of the second one is a cool trailer although it seems like the timing on some of the frames is too long. When the type gets to where you can't read it it should be off the page in my opinion. I say that because in the viral world people don't like to wait much at all. The illustration of the polaroids is pretty good. Reminds me of the animaniacs a little. I like that it's got this kid-like feel, but has dark undertones, subject matter. They seem to play well off each other in this piece. Again, I'd play with speeding it up and the zoom in fades seem to be used too much, but it may just be the slowness of how they come in that bothers me.

As for both, the production values seem to be pretty good. So many people doing things like this don't seem to have that. I'm a big stickler for that so it's great to see someone creating stuff with good production values.
