Of course all that is just speculation...nothing is official until a 1:00pm ET press conference tomorrow.

yep-weve only known this would happen for ummm 6 months now-at least its offical tomorrow haha-as I said before I wish her luck and she cant be any worse than John Wes Townley haha.
As for her driving skills-Ive watched her in Indy Car since she started and shes pretty good-got 5th in points in an underperforming car last year and was faster than her teammates (Kanaan, Marco Andretti, and Mutoh) in almost every race-whether an average to good indy car driver will transfer to Nascar idk-Hornish was amazing in Indy Car and still mediocre.
People use Montoya as the benchmark but remember it took him 3 years-and Id argue hes a better driver than Hornish or Franchitti-he won in CART right away, he won in F1 right away, and hes obviously a good Nascar shoe now.
Oh well itll be interesting and at least it will take some media attention away from the medias man crushes Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch haha.

I find it hillarious that everyone is all hyped up on a driver who won 1 race in IRL on a gas mileage deal. IRL is not the series it once was. And Danica just doesnt impress me that much as a driver compared o others in the IRL. I suspect she will flop in NASCAR
Yes, she is attractive and a media and advertising dream....I think her sun glasses are too big for her face though...lol
Seriously though when you look at open wheel stars and how they have fared in NASCAR there are realistically 4 success stories...in no particular order AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti, Tony Stewart, and Montoya....everyone else....not so much....I'm just dreading the hype she will generate when Press Pass signs her to make cards....good grief....at least I'll be able to sell them on eBay LOL

I don't get why anyone DOESN'T like this....it's good for NASCAR. Bottom line. Regardless of what you think of her (overrated, underrated, etc.), she's good for NASCAR, she'll fill up seats at N'Wide races, and she'll bring more money into the sport.
I also don't get why people are jumping on her back saying she won't be successful....does anyone actually think she WILL be out of the gates? Sam Hornish/Dario Franchitti OWNED IRL races, and they can't handle stock cars....I don't really think anyone actually expects Danica to do well in NASCAR right off the bat.

I recall the hype over Shawna Robinson, Tina Gordon (who is from this area), Casey Atwood, Franchitti, Bill Lester and Lord knows who all else and how everyone had these great unrealistic expectations and how good it was for NASCAR and they all fell flat. My point is and was if you take out the fuel mileage win in Japan....what has she really accomplished in the IRL on the track? She's had several temper tantrums (I know a Tony Stewart and Robby Gordon fan talking about a drivers temper tantrum...got the irony) and alot of unfullfilled expectations....off the track...some great commercials and the like....
I don't like it unless she does what all the others didn't do....be competitive and win
And I think there are several folks who expect her to be competitive from day 1....

Regardless of her performance, she's good for NASCAR in the sense of the money it will bring in. Bottom line.
And I'd be surprised if anyone thinks she'll be competitive based off of previous IRL-to-NASCAR transitions. Especially considering her IRL record.
