i started collecting again in 07/08 and my lcs owner told me that the black diamond set is tough to get and highly sought after. I am still about 10 cards away from completing this set quads only of course and the cost to me has been insane. Then to see people selling sets on ebay for 300 bucks kills me. Thats less than the price of 3 boxes for this product. Why 08/09 BD can be had for 50-60 a box is beyond me. The hits in the 08/09 product were way better on average too. my point ....forget buying boxes of black diamond and wait for someone to put the set together for you. I could never part with my set for 300 dollars when i spent over 1500 opening boxes to try to kill this set and the combined book value is around 1200. o i forgot to metion that both people ive seen selling the 07/08 master set didnt even get a sniff at their 300 starting bid. Seems like the only set that has lasting selling power is good ol UD series 1 and 2 which people do pay over 300 for 50 ygs and a bunch of pointless not hard to pull inserts as opposed to the 1 quad star and 1 quad rc you get per box which means in theory you have to open 20 plus boxes without any dupes to get the quads. had i known all this i never would of bought so many i guess a lesson to not always beleive the lcs guy he might just be trying to sell you a 120 dollar box of cards!!!!!

Heard about this at both my LCS's. They each have different suppliers, and both have been getting the runaround.
My Philosophy is that everything negative that starts at the top eventually filters it's way to the bottom, and seeing that the same stories are coming from totally different sources, It's just another Upper Deck Can't get it together situation.
