    Customs shipping

I am hoping to get your opinions on what to do.

I paid $38 with shipping for an autograph. The guy sent it UPS, marked the value $20, and paid $13 for shipping it to me which took just over 2 weeks. Its at the post office and customs is making me pay $18.

Seems ridiculous as i've never had to pay customes before (Bad Luck?). What are my options? Please help.

UPS is the problem, never send via UPS. Once you use UPS system which charges part of that fee you are setting yourself up to pay for duty as well. If its regular mail anything under $50 I have found they let slide. And even if you pay above 50 for the item just ask the seller to label it as photos and an amount around 20 you will be safe. There is no reason to place the value above $50 (no matter what sellers tell you) as there is no insurance available anyway.
