yeah it was wild. half my friends slept through it (it was 4am) and didnt hear a thing and half of em jolted out of bed. my sister woke her husband, thought a snow plow had hit their house! to me it was kind of like 50 motorcycles being next to the house for about 4 seconds.

I am tired of snow!!! It's really pretty when everything is covered in it, but then you have to clear it all away. I'm just over the bridge from Philly and and we've gotten over 50 inches in this past week's double storms (friday/saturday & tuesday/wednesday). Our total snowfall for the season so far stands at nearly 72" which broke the all time record of 70.5" that was set in 1996. Also fun was losing our power for around 18 hours one day and 4 times (shorter time periods like 20 minutes each) the other day. I feel bad for the jersey shore area of NJ. Towns right along the beaches like Wildwood, have been without power since last Tuesday night. On the news tonight they said there is still over 20,000 homes & businesses in the region without power. That's really gotta suck being without power for that long!!!
Living on a dead-end street has it's perks normally (pretty quiet, strangers don't get far around here without us knowing it, etc), but when it comes to snow... we are nearly forgotten by the township plow trucks. We get one swipe down the street each storm if we're lucky, the rest is up to us to clear out and make passable. And to top it off, my snowblower is dead and I had to move it all with shovels. SNOW SUCKS!!!
So now I have a 7 foot high by 8 foot wide by 22 foot long mountain of snow at the end of my driveway that will probably melt and run off with all the rest of the water around here that will cause flooding around my neighborhood. Oh joy... I just can't wait, LOL!!!
Oh well... Friday should be a fun day... I'm babysitting my grandkids and I plan to be outside playing in the snow with them like I was a kid again!!!
I just can't wait for morning!!! So now it's off to bed so I can get my rest. I see snowman building and snowball fights in my future!!!

Sounds like lots of fun Buddy!! I thought it was bad here, we got alittle over 3 feet with 20-30 mph winds gusting to 50 at times. My nephew was finally able to make it over here to dig me out. I`m done with the snow too!! I`m gettin to old for this crap lol. Wish I was rich, I`d move to florida lol. Have fun with the grandkids!!
