Lucky pickups
I have been working on more 8x10's the last few years and have a few nice books going. I was walking through our local mall picking up more Christmas gifts with the wife on Sunday and saw a booth marked last day in the mall. I had walked by this kiosk a few times in the past without paying too much attention as they had Magic cards and comic books setting out and a few signed sports items. What the heck I gave it a look and they had a $4 closeout bin of 8x10 autos! I quickly made that into a 6 for $20 offer to the owner and now have added these 8x10 autos:
Jason Giambi Yankees uni
Miguel Cabrera Marlins uni
Kyle Orton Bears uni
Roy Williams Lions uni
Nomar Garciaparra Dodgers uni
Bobby Abreu Yankees uni
Yeah, all these guys are no longer on those teams but who cares! I was thrilled with this deal! I then stopped by our local shop on the way home and he had a box of cards for $1 each and I picked up 5 or 6 middle name guys there. Keep looking for ways to add to your collections and best of luck!

GREAT pickups. I wish I could find an Abreu in a Yankee uniform...he is one of the guys I'm still trying to get to add to my Yankee autograph collection.
