Just a very short RANT
Why do people think they can trade their CRAP for someones quality.
- No, I do not want to look for trade bait when I ask for a 15BV card, and you like something worth 150BV.
- No, I do not want to take player X for my Stamkos / Mason / Crosby / Ovechkin / Gretzky / ++.
- No, I dont want to trade for common non numbered jerseys.
- No, I dont want to find 20 cards I like from you to trade for my 1 card.
Ok .... I feel a little better ... i suppose.

Well the first one I don't see a problem with. Some people just refuse to trade unless there is a certain BV involved. And since the 3rd statement and 1st statement kind of goes hand in hand, I don't see what that issue is? You don't want to trade for common non numbered jerseys? But you don't like if people want to make the trade bigger for THEIR common non numbered jerseys? The 2nd and fourth statement I understand though.

Here is a tip: stop trading.
That's what I do and I rarely end up frustrated after submitting an offer.
No one talks about BV as well

Look at your sig and that might help:
Collecting:
- 08/09 Ultimate Signatures
- J. Bernier / Stempniak / Moller ( RC Year Only )
- Roberto Luongo - Autos / Patches / UM9
- Brodeur / Nash / Stamkos / Crosby / Mason
-08/09 Ultimate Signatures
their are a whole lot of common autos in that set
- J. Bernier / Stempniak / Moller ( RC Year Only )
you collect three non listed rookies, thus commons
- Roberto Luongo - Autos / Patches / UM9
you win there, you have specifics
- Brodeur / Nash / Stamkos / Crosby / Mason
all of those players have non numbered jersey cards. also you are not specific at all and people may take it as you collect base and inserts of those players
My suggestion would be to just list in your sig exactly what you collect and if you post a trade thread just list exactly what you are interested in.

Always remember, trading is wants for wants. Do what makes you happy. If you can't come to an agreement, walk away and try with somebody else. I'll trade my 1 for 20 I need for sets or other collecting goals, but I won't trade my 1 for 20 'traders'.
People will ask for all sorts of things (I'm amazed at the number of trades people make with offers of "Triple book given for your autos" when the triple book comes all in base and un-numbered inserts). You don't know what's on someone's mind until you ask (unless you spell it out like habscards said). And there's no harm in asking because there's no harm in telling them, "No."
I've had very few people get upset with me when I say, "No. I'm not good with that."
You're normal for feeling frustrated. Just keep the old chin up and keep pluggin'!

What you say does make sense.
But usually when I make a thread, I start out by saying I am looking for comparable cards of the players im looking for.
Hence, if im offering a 60BV card I expect offers in the same range of the players listed.
I put alot of stuff in my sig to try and make myself easy to trade with, the more wants I have, the more stuff I can potentially trade for

I don't like trading much either for those reasons.
$$ talks. I sell cards I don't want to buy what I do. Much easier.

Trading can be easy or hard.
The more rules you put up I personally think the harder it is to trade with people. I mean how many of us who might want say for example your $150 dollar Modano will have a comparable card you want from their list.
Also you say you dont' want 20 cards for 1 that is understandable. But let me ask you this. Have you ever did a trade where someone gave you one high end card for say a smaller lot. I done both but I find it a tad frustrating when I come back to that same person then they want to say no. I mean if it was good for me to help you out help me out. Of course that what building friendships and trade partners is all about. I am sure many will say they helped someone out then got burnt. It all about living and learning.
Best thing you can do when you get frustrated is to just say no and move on. If you keep running into this over and over you need to stop collecting. For every person that makes you rant there will be some folks that will make you happy to collect. It suppose to be hobby and fun not something that makes you rant. That just my two cents.
p.s. Best of luck in the hobby.

I agree, I have several cards up for trade right now and so far other than one trade, thank-you, all other offers have been for my good cards with a "please check my bucket of garbage" for something for them. By garbage I mean usually there is a trade bucket with nothing but base and unlisted commons. If you want luongo offer me something even close and I'll probably go for it. Keep in mind though I collected canucks so even though I no longer do I still want something half decent in trade. This is the very reason I usually end up selling on ebay and just make cash offers for cards I need or want..

- No, I do not want to take player X for my Stamkos / Mason / Crosby / Ovechkin / Gretzky / ++.
These are the twoon that list that bother me. The 20 for 1 is ok as long as it is a pc cards incoming. And the non numbered jerseys i collect them as long as the other person is willing to take the same
