George Michael passes away from Cancer
George Michael, a mainstay on the Washington, D.C., sports television scene for decades who reached a national audience with The George Michael Sports Machine highlights show, has died. He was 70 years old.

I remember seeing Sports Machine late at night just before the local TV station went off the air.

I used to love watching his show when I was in high school. We did not have cable so his show was the only way to see highlights of all the NFL games.

I used to watch the sports machine and Michaels was very enthusiastic about his work. Will miss him.

What a show!
This guy was great. A fast paced, upbeat show. He was ready and willing with his opinions. And I believe he showed ESPN how it should be done. He's entertaining in sports fan heaven today!

When I saw the title of the thread I got scared because I thought it was the singer George Michael!
