    practices have generally started around 8am. Come in around 10:30 or 11. after that, they scatter for specific training. Get up early, get to the park, and have fun. You never know who you will see hanging around. 2 years ago, I ran into Peter Gammons at a Brewers practice. Last year, I saw a few former Phillies that were helping out with practices, and all the front office. Including 80 WS mgr Dallas Green.

    Always have a baseball, or something that anyone could sign.

    Do you gave to buy tickets to their practices?

    No, I don't. I start by watching the news to see when pitchers & catchers report (2/18/10) and then I hit the ST facility. I work my way to the various practice fields. You have to know what the guys you want a sig from look like because many times they are not wearing their normal jerseys with names and/or numbers...
