When was the last time we saw an expansion team go 7-1 in their first eight games of existence? Not recently, anyways. Well, if you know anything about the Maine Red Claws, then you know of just such a team.

With the defeat of the Erie Bayhawks, the Red Claws improve their record to 7-1, passing the Iowa Energy for the best record in their conference. Maine, to the disadvantage of the other teams, has a number of NBA assignees on their roster, helping to boister their strength.

The two most recent additions, Trey Gilder (from the Grizzlies) and Lester Hudson(from the Celtics), have been leading the attack as of late. Bill Walker (also from the C's) and Alexis Ajinca (from the Bobcats), who has seen the team through most of the season thusfar, were the early leaders.
