How about the Signature Sensations from the Upper Deck sets. It has a nice mix of players and 81 cards for the 09/10 UD 1 version.

Okay, I'm going to make a new thread with a poll for the following sets:

    09-10 UD 1 Signature Sensations
    07-08 UD Trilogy Ice Scripts
    07-08 UD Ice Glacial Graphs
    08-09 UD Ice Glacial Graphs
    06-07 Flair Showcase Inks
07-08 Be A Player Dual Autogrpahs
    08-09 Artifacts Autofacts
08-09 UD Trilogy Young Star Scripts

Here are a few guidelines for the set:

    1) AUTOGRAPH CARDS
    2) Cards must be vertical, not horizontal
    3) A good mix of players, some stars like Sid, AO, etc. and some common players
    4) NOT FROM THE CUP
    5) No more than 50 cards
    6) Nice design that would look nice displayed
    7) No unknown cards, lol

    Anyway, let's hear some input!
    What do you guys think?

I've been working (without completion) on building a few game used sets and those are some very good considerations you have there. Especially #5, no more then 50 cards. Just doing the math, if you can get each card for on average $20, you are looking at $1000.

For me your #6 is the most important - eye appeal. No sense building a set that only you will appreciate.

    Good luck.

the 09-10 Artifacts has a nice design, plus their is a Crosby SP in the set. a few legends, a few commons, and a few team leaders

How about the SPx Rookie Auto's? I know some years are horizontal but I believe 08-09 is all vertical. The Stamkos the only real toughy with Mason playing like poo.

Id say ice scripts as they are all known players unlike artifacts where you pull an auto of a nobody
