Bulls will fire Del Negro
The Bulls have decided to fire head coach Vinny Del Negro, but they are still looking for a replacement, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.
The sources say that Chicago's lack of a decision on a replacement is the main thing that is keeping Del Negro employed.
There were internal discussions about John Paxson, the team's executive vice president of basketball operations, coaching the team, but he decided against it.

I wonder if McHale would leave NBATV to coach again...or perhaps Avery Johnson...Dwane Casey is still jobless too, as far as I know.

well it happened before the new year as predicted. if they can find a replacement that is. i cant see how they kept him as long as they did but i dont think its the coach that is the bulls problem

so what is his motivation to continue at all? when he knows iminent death is in the near future for his coaching career

Well the coach is one of the problems. But of course it'll probably take the rest of this year and maybe next to get the team functioning optimally again.
