bench fisher???
what would happen if the lakers would bench derek fisher and start brown? the only thing that i see fisher bring to the lineup is stability and leadership. i think theres enough stability and leadership on the lakers starters. and i think the bench needs some leadership.

That would be a major slap in the face to him...he would not go for that one bit, and it could destroy chemistry...plus, Shannon Brown is more of a spark off the bench than Fisher would be, as Brown can score at will - Fisher doesn't do much scoring on a regular basis anymore...

yeah i see your points but man i think production wise fisher doesnt really do anything anymore and on the defensive end hes a big liability. but your right it probly would really mess up the chemistry.

That's why you want to start him. You don't really need production from fisher if he's in the same lineup as Gasol, Bryant and Bynum. You really just need Fisher to bring up the ball which allows Bryant not having to bring up the ball all the time. When you have Brown in there, he's younger, gonna be more risky, and might even take up more shots which you don't really need since your starting lineup is stacked.
If you have Fisher come off the bench, he'll be playing with an inferior second unit which is only going to accentuate his flaws. So you have a even more ineffective Fisher who is not giving you anything from the bench rather than Brown, coming off the bench with energy.
Fisher can play some in the beginning, a little bit throughout, and should and will be on the floor when the game ends, as he is not afraid to take big clutch shots if needed, some guys are though. You can see the NBA games where some guys would rather pass the ball in the end than take that shot.
If it ain't broke, there's no need to fix it (Laker's have the best record in the league right now, there is no need to do major tinkering with rotations). As much as I hate it, Lakers are rolling right now.
