I think the biggest problem with selling on ebay is that you do not know whether the items are authentic or not. I love getting autographs and used to do a lot of hockey IP, but TTM has always worried me. After meeting the players in person, I find it odd that they would be nice enough to sign things TTM when they are so unwilling IP.

It might be that the player was having a bad day or had somewhere to go. They are human and deal with all the same things we deal with. I have had players walk by me and not acknowledge me and on other times remember my name, talk to me about an upcoming roadtrip, etc. Ian Kennedy was like that at times. Sometimes he would sign, others he would talk pitching, going up to the big club, and all the good stuff. Butch Wynegar is a GREAT example of someone who hates signing in person but will sign TTM. He enjoys the disconnect. He was one of my favorite players growing up and he was extremely kind to me on the few occasions I met him. Sometimes he would not sign. Another time he told me to mail it and he would sign it. He, like most working folk, wanted to get away from the park, or work. Signing TTM allows the player to step back and do it in his/her own time.
