has Duke Snider stopped signing?
I saw many refused failures on scn and one on here. Maybe he's done?

lol, I just noticed the same thing and came over here to see if anybody was talking about it.
His signature looks strong on my HOF plaque I got back from him 12/14. Maybe it was just a holiday break or yeah, maybe he's wrapped up his ttm signing. A great player, man, and ttm signer. He's right up to the top of the list of guys that deserve a break from fan mail if they want one.

I think something is wrong with the Duke. Over the past 5 years I have sent him a number of items to sign and he has "always" generously signed and returned all my items quickly. I just received an RTS with REFUSED written on the outside of the envelope.

I think he's had enough. Sort of seems like when January 1st came around he retired from signing. He really gets abused with fanmail. Because he's free people who are not even fans (of him or even baseball) send to him just to add to their # of graphs or becasue he's in the HOF. I can only imagine how much he signed annualy.

I'm sure you are correct because he got tons of requests daily. Too bad I got the RTS because it was a great picture of Podres, Snider, Erskine and Zimmer in their Brooklyn unis. The pic had previously been signed by both Erskine and Zimmer (unfortunately Podres died several years ago).
I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen with players like Bobby Thomson, Bobby Doerr, Chuck Bednarik and all the willing/great TTM'ers because of the number of items they are sent by each requester. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy when sending so many items for one person to sign, especially the older ones who's fingers probably don't work as well these days... This is just my opinion, I'm not trying to start a "bashing thread"!

I'd bet he'd still sign if you included $5 with the request and added "DONATION ENCLOSED" on the envelope.
