My Year started out with a soaking...

Howdy, went to pick up a card for a trade from Tom my dealer & as soon as i left the house my toilet feed water line let go & luckily mom was here but a lot got wet up & down since bathroom upstairs & i keep my Gordon box with my PC below the bathroom along with my traders.
THANKFULLY my Gordon PC wasnt hit but ill have to go thru my traders, the cards in sleeves shouldnt be wet but those without...
Ill be throwing out a lot of cards that were just laying there waiting to get wet, a few of my die cast boxes got wet incl. my Danica autoed 1:18 indy car.
The water went into the living room & ran down the wall just past my Gordon R/U & Autos which are on that wall, 1 card got soaked, my '05 Gordon auto of 100 was in a bag that card sleeves come in, thumbtacked to the shelf thats there & the bag filled with water & those screwdowns are like straws when water near them, but im trying to dry it & still keep it but the wrinkles already showed up... o well
Again thankfully it didnt happen at night while sleeping or out or id have a pool in the house & much, much more would have been ruined

I hope your year is starting out better than mine

Ouch! That hurts, but look at the bright side. At least it was the feed line, not the drain!

Howdy, thankfully the only Gordon that got soaked was my '05 Sil Auto /100, i got it to stay flat but its wrinkled, i doubt P.P. would replace it since it happened here & didnt get damaged in packing & come out of the pack damaged but it would be very, very appreciated if they did, even if it had a hand #d serial #

Wow Tyrant sounds like you did get pretty lucky. Hopefully there is nothing too valuable that is unsalvageable.

Sorry to hear about that man. Luckily nothing SUPER important got ruined. This kinda stuff always makes me consider getting a fire proof, water proof safe.
