2004 Prestige
This is kind of following in Atrain's footsteps, but then, it's not. Beckett is supposed to be the 'best', the top of the line, the most knowledgeable. Well, when the '04 Playoff Prestige first came out, we bought a few boxes, and were thrilled to see a Ben Roethlisberger rookie in there (card #182), and Kenechi Udeze (#160) . We waited and waited for Beckett to show that these cards are error cards, and to show their value. Just got my new one in the mail today, and they STILL do not even know there are any errors!!! We noticed them right away - the backs of the cards are of Ben Troupe, and Jonathan Vilma. These guys are the experts? Atrain, use this in your quest to gain customers to this site. I'm sorry, but I sure didn't gain any knowledge whatsoever from the Beckett board - which was what I thought I would. Granted, I know a lot about cards, but no one knows everything, and there is always something new to learn, right? Anyone else know about these cards? Just curious, cuz I haven't read anything about them anywhere.
P.S. - How 'bout those Packers?!?! lol

GOOOO PACKERS..... I can root for that one.
What beckett does with their publications is they just look at the prices and set them up. They get the information on error cards from the companies themselves and the collectors. I dont believe that they find out the errors on their own as they work on the prices.
Either way, SCF is still the best ;)

That's funny - I'm in Wabeno. Actually between Laona and Wabeno. Lived in Sheboygan for some years, then California for a little over 8 years, now back here for good. Weird that we're so close, heh? Go to Rhinelander all the time:)

ronic... Those are machine errors. They're not supposed to happen and only a few cards are like that. Not every single card made of Roethlisberger has Troupe on the back therefore Beckett can't say it's an error because only a few were actually errors while the rest of the cards have the correct backs.
Wrongbacks are fairly common. I've hand 5 or 6 in my collecting career. Have 4 right now.

Any card with Roethlisberger's picture on the front will be worth money, especially SINCE it's an ERROR card. I've been collecting cards for over 20 years, and this card should be reported as an error card, when it has the hottest rookie pictured on the front of it.

I'm sure there's a wrong-back version of almost every base card ever made. When 99.9% of the cards made are alright, but 0.1% of them are wrongbacks doesn't mean Beckett should list it as an error.

Check my post on Roethlisberger. It is not only on the back of the card. It is not a wrong-back. And, Beckett has always let everyone know of error cards, especially if you have the OPG's. I ought to know - have their first issue mags, and have been with their OPG's since they started them. The errors are on the front also.
