make it a check too so it doesnt get opened on the way there. and also so you can see if its cashed. if its cashed and you dont get the item, maybe cancel it. you might seem like a jerk but really did he expect you to not want your jersey signed?

im pretty sure if this jersey comes back for a 3rd time unsigned, there will not be another time. I will just buy a fake one of scam-bay for the price of a legit one & display it proudly.
I sent Cash with the donation so prolly get screwed on that 2. I thought about a check but didnt know if that was a good move or not. I wouldnt cancel the check if it came back un-signed. It all goes to a good cause..Last edited by Riggs; 01-03-2010 at 09:09 PM.

also, didnt think about it before i was gone, but " if " there was a next time, thought about putting on the note something to the effect to " feel free to personalize it, like "To Rick ".. That would clear up any thoughts of re-selling it on e-bay.. maybe next time

I can see canceling it two ways:
A. If you send a donation of $50+ and get your item back unsigned and they don't even send a signed 4x6, I think canceling it and sending another check for 5-10, along with a note explaining why, it is MORE than enough.
B. If you are in a strong financial position where loosing $50+ is nothing then feel good about the donation. It's for the kids.
Peyton does great things for charity. However he is in a position to do so. most of us are regular Joe's working 9-5s trying to get by and have a little fun with TTM. IDK about everyone else but if I send 50+ and get my stuff back unsigned but they cash my check that leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Obviously the dealers ruin it for the honest fans. But still, personalize it, if resale is the cause of rejection.
Keep in mind I try to volunteer atleast once a month and donate once a week to animal shelters and other causes I view as worthy. So I'm not a greedy punk and feel anyone owes me. i just know $50+ is a nice chunk of change.

sorry, i was thinking of a larger donation such as 100-200. i mean, what do his jerseys sell for if not for that much?
if its 50 dollars, man, its up to you.

They all mistakes. Some more than others. I just recently had a President Obama signed baseball rejected by PSA but authenticated by JSA. The sad thing is I know it is real and PSA is supposed to be the best in the biz. The bottom line is it is human being looking at your item and it is just their "professional" opinion.
