Alex Kovalev got 4 goals, plus 1 assist, this afternoon as Ottawa beat the Flyers 7-4. It was Kovalev's first 4 goal game.

he does this a couple times a year and you never hear of him again except when will he score again .

He's only scored in like 2 of the last what 13 games? One a Hat Trick, now the 4 Goal game, only scores in bunches.

On a plus note, I grabbed him as my insurance RW for fantasy earlier this week because someone from my team went on IR lol woohooo for me

In all my years watching hockey, I've never seen anyone who can handle the puck like Kovalev. He can do things with the puck that I don't believe even Gretzky or Lemieux were capable of. (I'm not talking about shooting and passing ability.... just pure puck control).

If he played with any level of consistency, he'd be a sure fire HOFer, with 1500+ career points. Everytime I hear about games like this out of him, I shake my head.... because he really could have been one of the all-time greats.
