    Can someone please explain this....

All i ever hear is alot of people will buy cards and resell for higher price on ebay on this website.

So i posted a Luc borudon rookie auto patch and ryan stone 3 color patch rookie auto from the cup.

I wanted 28$ free shipping for both on this website. I waited 5 days and nobody wanted them.

So i went to ebay and put them on and made 27$ from the bourdon and 10$ from the Stone and with shipping charges you make about 1.50 so figure and extra 3$

So what im asking is how come none of you buyer and resellers didnt take my offer for 28$?

Now that i put it on ebay i technically made 12$ extra....

Dont you resellers buy this stuff to make money like i offered?? lol

Maybe people didn't have the money at that certain time, or didn't think they would get that much on ebay?

I would venture to guess that with those players people just weren't willing to take the risk. I sell on ebay and Bourdon and Stone aren't even in the mid-lower level of players I would consider picking up.

Also, you probably took at least a 10% hit on fees from selling and accepting paypal but still better than $28 you were asking for here. :)

Yeah but when i tried selling them i put the links to previous auctions showing that it sells for what i said. Im trying to get rid of all my cards and im willing to give them to someone for lower then ebay if they wanna resell cause i just dont have the time to sell them all individually lol

A lot of us are in the same situation. I have a 100+ auctions a week on ebay of my own crap I'm trying to get rid of. Occasionaly I will buy some cards to resell if I know I can make a good profit, but in general I don't have the time. There is really no guarantee that a card will sell the same on ebay from week to week, it all just depends on who is watching and bidding. I wouldn't want to gamble on reselling a couple of mediocre rookies just to make a few bucks.

ebay has a much greater audience than here. There are more traders here than sellers as well. Several times I have offerred rtrades to sellers on ebay, but they usually want me to give up WAY more than they're offerring.

nice profit? (guess it depends what you had in them to begin with)

the easy answer is 1) ebay has a bigger marketplace 2) searching for cards on here is rather difficult given the amount of posts per day 3) maybe you were just lucky with this one sale

I will admit that I love buying cards for cheap and then 'flipping' them for a profit on ebay. Here is my step by step process as to why your original deal was less than ebay but not a steal to 'flip' with.

OK so say that someone bought the cards off of you for a combined total of $28.

    Bourdon sells for $27
    Stone sells for $10

    Bourdon
    ebay gets 8% so $2.16
    paypal gets 4% so $1.08
    listing fee(if started at $0.99) so $0.15
    Bourdon actually sells for $23.61

    Stone
    ebay gets 8% so $0.80
    paypal gets 4% so $0.40
    listing fee(if started at $0.99) so $0.15
    Stone actually sells for $8.65

So your total amount sold for both of those cards is $32.26

So I will add in the $3.00 that you said that you will make off of shipping for a grand total of $35.26

So you were looking to see those two cards here for $28. Someone could have bought them and 'flipped' them for a total gain of $7.26

    So to you, you think that why aren't people buying my cards for below ebay values? Now I am thinking well I can make a profit off of it but it is just now worth my time. This is why;

So I buy the cards from you and say it takes a week to get to me.
I have to scan the cards myself.
I have to list the cards on ebay.
I have to wait a week until the auctions end.
I have to wait to be payed.
I have to package the cards up in bubble mailers.
I have to go to the post office to mail the cards out.

With all of that work to do, it will work out to being about an hours worth of work and will take two weeks at minimum to do. All of that to make $7.26.

On a side note yes I will admit that you can kill two birds with one stone and can list other cards on ebay and do not have to only do those two. And yes I can mail more than just those two at the post office and make it more time efficient.

wow, I think all that factual information costs more than $7.26 just by itself

some people are in it for the hobby, not the profit.
