I keep seeing these bush guys and the vice president on tv crying that it should have been stopped and we are less safe blah blah blah..

First off I blame the fact he flew into the country and almost succeeded on the Obama administration. There was more then enough info to stop him before he even got onto the plane..

That said I think it's a joke all the former bush guys on tv saying stuff like "He should be sent to Gitmo and tortured" and my favore was the former press secretary on fox news saying we didn't have any terror attacks under Bush

There was as much info on stopping this man as there was on stopping 9/11 but you didn't hear dems coming out on 9/12 and blaming Bush. Then there was the shoe bomber who almost succeeded and he wasn't stopped and was sent through the us court system (which all of a sudden isn't good enough for this guy).. Then you had embassy attacks, all the attacks in afgan/Irag and the kidnappings etc. But there was not terror attacks under Bush

Neither of these guys are doing enough to keep us safe. They both had the brilliant idea of doing extra security on people coming from arab countries which would be good if the shoe bomber wasn't british..

I think that anyone who gets on a plane should either in the us or coming to the US should have to go through a full body scan no matter who you are or what your religion.. It's not an invasion of privacy as it's your choice to get on a plane, you could drive or take a boat if you don't want to go through the screening don't take a plane.

If terrorists want to attack the US they will, Obama can not stop them, Bush couldn't stop them, Cheney can not stop them.

And lets not forget that this plan was hatced by 2 guys who where in custody and let go by George Bush, Bin Laden is still alive, his number 2 is still alive we still haven't caught the guys from 9/11 (again Obama is not any better then Bush even though he did give more troops to Afgan that was neglected for years)..

So the cry that republicans can keep us safer is a joke, NEITHER party can keep us safe, the military can not keep us safe.. If you look at the spoiled plots it's normal citizens who reported something suspicious that has stopped the attacks.

Sorry it just makes me laugh when I hear that one group can keep us safe and there where no attacks under bush watch but there are under obama.. There where attacks under Carter, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama so it's obvious when it comes to it that no party is better then the other..

We should learn from our lessons, meaning administration to administration. Yes, nothing is 100% full proof. But my question is why don't we do all we can, like, profile? Why should we care about privacy? Do you have something to hide? Why don't seal the borders?
We can't afford a single American life trying to be politically correct. We will never be perfect in the eyes of the terrorist. Do you care what your neighbor thinks of you? I doubt it. I just feel the this administration cares more about looking good to the world, than being right when they should.

This can go on for ever, there are problems with every administration.

I am more afraid of various American crackpots and American terrorism then over seas terrorism, esp those gun nuts who go around waiving loaded weapons in public or the retarded gang bangers. you want to make America safe then make belonging to a gang the same as belonging to a terrorist organization and then do something about the ultra hard core NRA loving gun freaks. prioritize by fixing the problems within our border as well as trying to quell the onslaught from outside
