See don't have an eBay account...'s Items on eBay

lol agreed. I only like the very first set they came out with Panini Prestige and Donruss Elite. I bought 1 box of Rookies & Stars and its kind of like Prestige but with veteran team logo patch autos. I have not bought ANY panini threads.

2 extra base, bad design, sticker AU...
Panini really doesn't hire people to design cards. Even Upper Deck puts good product like SPx or Ovation. Those foiled bases are like early 90's stuff.

I was so excited when I heard Panini was FINALLY putting out a "Hi-End" product for basketball. Well my excitement has ended.
The jersey/AUTOs look like the Rookie Collection stuff from Threads. In fact I think I like Threads stuff better than this.
The base looks like the "Prestigious Picks" from Prestige, and the Old School jersey cards were ridiculous looking.
Plus, why cant they choose a good sticker AUTO for a "Hi-End" product instead of off-center or smudged AUTOs?

As i said in another thread, i think we need to give them a 1 year free pass. I don´t expect anything excellent this season. But i hope they fix their problems (lack of material and signatures) in the summer, and then they can be fairly judged next year.

Not sure I want to give them free pass when their product is no way cheap. Only if they do $30 per box, I will let them go. Heck, even Collector's choice has better design

Blah, another garbage product from Panini. Prestige was an okay first product, but everything else has gone downhill for me since, I don't particularly like elite either, absolutely poor and similar designs.

It's really sad because I used to go on this site and go on the "Box Break" forum to see all the stuff being broken, I would read every single box break thread. Now, I go on the site and see box breaks of Panini threads and I just don't even bother clicking on those anymore because everything from Panini looks the same no matter who you pull and what product you're pulling from. . . not very exciting.

Their problems go far beyond lack of material and signatures. At the same time, I do not feel like they deserve any free pass of any lengths at all.

It's like having a new restaurant on the block; if they are new and a good restaurant, their objective would be to impress in order to gain new
    customers.

That new restaurant should not come in and say, "Hey guys, yeah we're here but our food taste like garbage right now, but give us a year and we'll get it right, in the mean time please do eat our garbage tasting food. Oh yeah, by the way, you can only eat at our restaurant now because we kicked our competitors out of town and we're the only restaurant within a 30 mile radius"

I think it boils down to this, Panini has a monopoly on NBA cards right now. So it can be very easy for them to just milk the situation, not put any effort into product development and continue serving their garbage and NBA card fans would just have to deal with it and buy it anyway since there is no one else in town.

Or they can try harder and fight that uphill battle to establish their brand, develop their products, and give back to the community they are taking so much money from.

If they can do that, they might just earn my respect and money, but until then, I'm waiting for Upper Deck Greats of the Game.

Collector's choice isn't any special, but I think for being the low end product it's meant to be the design was fine, lots of action photos, inserts to excite the kids. There were worse designs like one of the mid 90's fleers or ultra I forgot. I'd really rather have more action photos than the diagonal purgatory that Panini chooses to put us in.
