Forgot that I also got a $20 grab bag with a Kaneoka Teixera signed ball, t-shirt, hat, sunflower seeds and coupons to BK and Wendy's. Pretty cool!
Check the last page for the rest of my haul on Friday and Saturday! :)
EDIT: Got some TTM's going out...8x10 of Bobby Richardson, 5x7's of Jason Giambi and Andruw Jones, and an 8x10 of Ebbetts Field for Carl Erskine.Last edited by loki1230; 07-10-2011 at 02:25 PM.

That sounds like an awesome time! Lots of nice autographs there...hoping to see Scranton when they come to Columbus for a four game series in about a week. How would you say they are signing and talent-wise?

I'd say Scranton's a pretty solid signing team, haven't found anyone to be against it and everyone I've seen tried to get multiples has done so without issue. I heard Brackman and Adam Warren are one-per, but I've seen them sign more.
Brandon Laird, Doug Bernier, Kevin Russo, and Greg Golson are the best signers in my opinion. As far as talent goes, Nova has solidified himself as what I believe can be a long-term Major League pitcher, the Yanks staff is unfortunately just a little crowded at the moment. Montero, Brackman, and Laird are each in the Yankees top 10 prospects on Baseball America. Bernier has spent time with the Yankees in the Majors as did Russo and Golson last season. Lance Pendleton and Kevin Whelan had a few call-ups this year as well. Chris Dickerson is on the team as well, but judging from the Autographing Session, I wouldn't bank on him.

Definitely will man. I was surprised to see no one's tried him as far as the TTM Manager is concerned, so hopefully he signs!

Thanks for the good info! Montero and Nova are both names I've heard of, but I half expect them to be with the Yankees in two weeks. Based on all the success I've had with the Clippers, I'd kinda like to try a different team before the game, but Toledo never had anyone worth going after. How is Montero, in your opinion?

As far as talent or signing habits? He'll sign, but I'm not sure if he'll sign more than one-per, I've never tried. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he'll make the trip since he's on the DL, though he should be back sometime this week (I think). Unless one of the New York Yankee pitchers go down with an injury, Nova should definitely be there. Unsure of his in-person habits as the Autograph Session was the first time I got to see him down here.
Talent-wise, I think Montero is missing something offensively, but I'm not sure what it is. He hasn't hit the homeruns quite like he's expected to yet this season, but he could simply be a slow starter seeing as his numbers are similar to last year with the exception of last season. Right now, he's a great hitter for average and if he is a slow starter, it will only go up in the second half of this season. I'd like to think he gets a call-up come September just to see what he can do at the next level and I think it's fair to assume he has a long career ahead of him in the Majors barring injuries, if not at catcher than at DH like David Ortiz.

I meant signing-wise...I figured if he's decent, I'd probably bring a ball and try for him...I'm looking at going between 18th and 20th, so hopefully he'll be back by then. He'd be the one I would really be after, so I was curious as to if he was decent or not. Sounds like he might be worth a shot, eh?

Absolutely. I've gotten him on two balls both on the sweet spot (one at the autograph session yesterday) and a 5x7.

Well alright, I suppose if I can make it to one of their games against Scranton, I'll try 'graphing them rather than the Clippers...would love to have a Montero. Thanks!
