No the prize was $100 worth of Football cards. While it would have been nice at this Point I don't see it happening.

My opinion is that if he'll be that sleezy to hide the $100.00 prize posts he'll do it with a trade. Make it known so others know not to deal with garbage like him...period...

The "better man" would make everyone aware of how he handles himself so natural selection and cancellation can happen...

I understand you wont' call him/her out because it's a giveaway, but what he/she did to you was wrong and if he/she can do it to their own giveaways, what would stop them from doing it in a trade, if the other person have sent the card(s) their way first??!!! That's why integrity matters a lot in forums like this!!

But if it doesn't matter to you or some others around here, it's all good, but at least let the rest of us know so we can avoid him/her in the future instead of you coming in after the fact, telling us what he/she did to you later when it doesn't matter anymore!!!

Im not saying it doesn't matter. Im just not going to make a big deal about it. Sadly this is something that is quite norm in Forums. Do I agree with his actions no. Not in any way. But I am not going to get all hyped about it either. There is to many folks on forums now that have no morals . In the end this is just another Person on a long list. Do I want the stuff yes. Do I think Im going to get it? At this point no. Do I find his shady tactics ok No. Is it becoming the norm? Yes. While I believe a man should keep his word I am also realistic that there is not too many people follow the idea.

I think you misunderstand anyways. NO ONE will be called out on this forum that is not how it is done here. But situations like this is why we don't allow unapproved contests to be run. It is too easy to back out on your word.

Unaproved contest is different, but if I send someone hundreds of dollars and get nothing then you have to call them out to warn other members, and handle any other problems yourself.

Seems purely reactionary to me. You would be fine with possibly damaging someone's reputation over free cards? What are you going to say?

"This guy said he would send me free stuff. He didn't respond though, he's a total (insert derogatory term). You can't trust him."

How would you justify extrapolating the person's actions from the contest, to question their integrity as a trader overall? What basis would there be to make such a weighty assumption over one example?

w/ all due respect .... it's not always about the money, it's a matter of principle! may not be one example ... may be he hasn't never been called out before or a seasoned thief gotten caught for the first time? one's integrity should not be judged by the big things that he does, but by the little things! imagining one celibrity who participates in a fund raising efforts for a charity, but shoplift a department store ...

i understand the big man should shrug it off .... noble and all, but it takes a bigger man to say "SORRY, I MADE A MISTAKE AS I DON'T HAVE $100 WORTH OF CARDS, BUT I MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING ELSE FOR YOU ....BLAH BLAH"....

REmoving the trace of the contest says this guy is a professional ... ok, may be i've watching way too much conspiracy and assassins' movies LOL

What about people who post about fake/bad sellers cards on ebay? Can you clarify what "NO ONE will be called out on this forum" means?
