Panini redemption FAIL
I had asked Panini to replace about 5 of my cards right when the 4 month period ended and had to follow up multiple times before I finally got a response. By the 6th month, they finally told me that they got about 3 of the cards in so I still had 2 to go. One is STILL on hold because they gave me some excuses (as usual), but the other one they emailed me back today saying they would replace my
Elvin Hayes Limited Glass Cleaners Auto /49 (an NBA 50 Greatest player)
for a
Devin Ebanks Threads RC Auto /399 (who barely plays in the NBA and is mostly spending time in the D-League)
I really wonder how they decide they will replace autos. I mean they could've given another retired player auto at the very least. I don't care if it's worth less than Hayes, but Ebanks? Come on Panini
FAIL.
Their redemption program really makes me want to get out of the Hobby.

Ouch, thats horrible. On my Team Threads Horford they at least asked me who I wanted as a replacement and I gave them a list of 10 players Id accept. Of course once they got my list they sent out the Horford they told me they didnt have in stock 2 days earlier because they players were actually comparable to an all-star caliber center or comparable players in the collectors market.

Just complain to them again until they get it right.

Ya it really isn't the best feeling when you pay a good chunk of money for these boxes and all you get in return is bad customer service, or they cheat you out of your actual value. Sometimes I feel they need to re-evaluate how BV stuff works because it seems not many people go by it much nowadays anyway and the way they actually value players is tough. I think they're getting lazy and also don't want to print too much paper as the years go by so they just put common values on everyone.

Thats so horrible. You pulled the Hayes redemption from a box of Panini Limited right? But they send you a card from Panini Threads? I hate when they send you a card from a totally different set than the original. You know what I mean? I guess it'd be ok if you were ok with the player you were getting. But Ebanks...Hayes....what a JOKE.
They obviously don't care for your business. I would call them back and give them an earful, seriously.

Wow, thats absolutely rediculous. Im glad Ive boycotted Panini since my redemption problems, it sounds like they are just getting worse and worse by the day.
@ Kobe1101j- If I were you Jon, Id take that NT Durant redemption you just pulled and sell it as soon as possible to get as close to the sale value of the in-hand card, you may end up getting an Earl Boykins auto /999 in place of it, hahaha!

Wow that is another epic fail. Did you contact them again and argue? I think the other reason Panini is so slow with their redemption program is b/c they CONTINUE to make mistakes like this and then have to continue to deal with customers, slowing them down. They can easily resolve this though by having ZERO redemption in future products. Everyone will be happy that way. Sheesh.
@Pat - you're right I probably should sell the Durant now while NT is still hot. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they gave me a boykins auto for that durant, but it probably won't be numbered LOL
