Need help narrowing down the PC

I have come to a crossroads in collecting. I have recently been accumulating RCs of decent players to build up some side PCs, the problem is that they are getting expensive and almost all of the players are highly collected.

My question is who out of these would you keep and why.

I have listed the cards I have of each player and figured that, that would play some part in the decision making.

I am not looking for anyone to outright pick who I collect, just looking for a few new different points of view.

    Thanks-Bob

Adam - gone. No re-sale within 2 years

T.J. Brodie - gone, No re-sale now forget about 3 years down the road.

    Robin Lehner - ditto

I'd also sell all Schenn cards while people are paying too much as well as the other rookies.

Treat Hockey cards like stocks on the stock market. Never ever marry any of them.

If you are collecting as an investment or tying to raise money the comment above is probably valid. It depends what you want for your pc. My pc, is cards I have no intent on reselling or making money off of. I collect them because I like the player or team. If that is the case, pick a player or team or couple players you really like, and run with that. All that being said, if you decide to unload either of your Jets, send me a message. Good luck deciding, there are some nice starts to player collections either way.

I'd say ditch the Couture...I'll take that garbage! : )

Seriously though, if you didn't know what the BVs and sale values were, which 3 players would you most enjoy watching or know that you're most likely to enjoy watching in the future? That way, you can get excited about a card for another reason.

    Just my two cents...

That last response was perfect. Unless the value of a player is outside your means to collect, pick what yoare going to enjoy regardless of bv sv or anything along those lines u

What if you actually like the player and your not in it just for the money? I thought collecting cards was supposed to be a fun HOBBY? Most of us know we arent going to get the same amount of money back that we put into our collections. If its a player you really like or a set you think is really cool and you can still pay the bills and live comfortably then who cares what money you get back from it? If your passion/hobby is flying and travelling the world are you worried about what money you are going to get back from it? doubt it. Guess what dollar amount you are going to get back from that plane ticket to Australia or France? a big fat 0. Collect what you can and have fun with it just like any other hobby out there. If its worth a few bucks down the road and you have no intention in keeping it anymore then thats a bonus, sell it off. Sorry for the rant but its comments like that that really irritate me... Back to the original question. Pick a player or 2 who you really like and sell the rest and put it towards someone you really like. Thats what I would do.

Exactly, well said. My hobby is hitting the booze, and I know I won't have much to show for that after all is said and done, but it's all about the fun of it

It has nothing to do with money and everything to do with them being a commodity,

I have a lot of cards I like, but I didn't buy any of them new, unless they were 5 cents a pack and came with Gum.

Brayden Schenn cards are not going to appreciate, get them 2 years from now at a fraction of the cost.

I guess you could approach a new season as I do:

Which of these new rookies has a better than good chance of staying in the dance, and which tier can I afford? Other than Skinner, last year's crop means squat to me- but I'm a Flames fan....- Nino would be my pick, other than the obligatory Flame, Brodie.

I don't do Rookies, as a rule of thumb. I already have my player that I collect, and unless ANOTHER 5'9'' fire plug named Theo Fleury comes along that can play better than HE did, my PC remains,

    Theoren Fleury.

You and I, sir, are going to have to sit down over a LONG weekend and discuss many matters. We'll start with beer and move on to hockey. Foxnews should send a camera crew to film that epic event.
