How is it not the same?
Pack searching is dishonest and frowned upon in hobby. Its cheating to add better cards to your collection. IMO you are inconsistent as to what you label cheating.

if you don't know that they aren't the same, nothing i can say will make any difference. you are saying that checking out 2 or 3 peaches before buying one is dishonest, trying on shoes before buying is dishonest.
and you are saying that all of those things are the same as cheating to win a football game or the superbowl?
wow, you really need to get a life.
every time i check my collection, i really don't care if i'm frowned upon by the likes of you and others in the hobby.
what really gets me is that those that approve of brady and belichick cheating can get upset about searchers.

No, those things aren't dishonest. You are trying to make a comparison between actions that are not the same. Its generally accepted that consumers can try on shoes or look for quality produce. Its not accepted by most collectors that individuals can weigh, bend, or whatever else they do to determine a hot pack. Packs are sealed in foil, wax, or cello to prevent collectors from knowing what they are getting. Shoes and produce usually aren't.
Cheating is cheating in both cases. I just think its funny that you are ok with one (the one that benefits you) and not the other (that you call out every time possible).

Pack searching is dishonest - You are gaining extra knowledge about something that you should have not.
When you try on shoes, you are making sure the shoes are usable by you
A retail pack is already usable by you in its unsearched form.....searching the pack is gaining an advantage
And I don't give a crap about the Patriots because that was like 3 years ago, and it has no affect on me whatsoever.
