Graded means nothing, the companies do not authenticate or "grade" the patch. Unless it's brutally obvious it's tampered they will simply grade the card and send it back to the owner.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-CUP-Corey-Perry-RC-AUTO-LOGO-PATCH-4cl-Rare-199-/110764528610?pt=US_Hockey_Trading_Cards&hash=item1 9ca1493e2

Boys in this freak that goes in the big, Perry RC Cup is a fake, because that has purchased the auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/190577753168 Limit 003/199 or as easy to get more than $ 670
And another thing I found in him a quick fix:
    Bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380369798388
    Sold: http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-05-Ultimate-Wayne-Gretzky-auto-patch-3-color-50-cup-logo-/110764525246?pt=US_Hockey_Trading_Cards&hash=item1 9ca1486be
Although the auction ended, but who knows how poor it is hard for the money now in the collection
    -------------------
And what is more fully understood, bought this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300561515655 and then started buying cards Howe and Yzerman
Here, for example, sold Exquisite G. Howe is clearly seen, for which they need to buy the "badge" Red Wings http://www.ebay.com/itm/110734052819
And here again to see what Yzerman bought the Limited Logos, and I think I would guessed, as it appeared in the sale:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/290588487056
The feedback is only a bubble in the price, unfortunately it's long, so this is not seen, but due to buing round. selling price is clear: "Steve Yzerman 09-10 CUP LOGO PATCH AUTO 2cl / 50 (# 110698336280) U.S. $ 325.00"
More of his purchase: http://www.ebay.com/itm/180726108727 fate these cards is clear.

And this is only a fraction of what I found over time, but I think it is clear what this is. I really have to begin somewhere rejects these files. It might be worth somewhere here to create a ™™™™™ List, where these were clearly convicted Dude nice opening (if there is therefore somewhere).

yeah, like he said, is a baby wetting his diapers a common thing?

Is faking patches a common thing?

i would say over half of all the cool looking patches are fake, almost all of them on ebay are fake, even some on this forum and others too

for scammers it is a part time job, they fake one patch after another, after another, that is why people like me, and a few others, we keep track of these criminals and report them, when enough people file a well written report to ebay, ebay will pull an item, if three items get pulled in a month for one seller, they will usually close that account, like they did for wolverine24 a year to 2 ago, one of the biggest scammers on ebay, but so many people complained they shut him down, unfortunately he goes to all the card shows and sets up shop there and other websites

me, i have a youtube channel that i make videos showing proof that they are scammers, there should be a link below to my youtube, just click the image, i encourage other people to do it too

also, fake patches are not all, these same scammers usually sell counterfeit cards as well, fake autographs on base cards or regular rookies, etc... there is a long list of how some of these scammers are trying to rip you off, that i why i tell people, NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM A SCAMMER, a scammer is a criminal and they are ruining the hobby for the rest of us, what they do is not welcome in this community so if we stick together and tell them to get lost, a few of them will move on to easier targets and hobbies, like some of them have already done... if we buy nothing they sell, some of them will stop selling the fakes

i hope this helps, and if you have any further questions please pm me on youtube, i do not come to this site often due to a the scammers here, there are a few sad to say

Half!? You're a real pessimist aren't you? Patch faking IS a problem, but it hasn't consumed the hobby. Manufacturers DO make some sweet looking patch cards, as anyone who opens boxes frequently can attest to. To say half of all cool patches, and almost all the ones on
    eBay, are fake is absurd.

Hi, not sure if it's been stated on this thread but why don't the card companies take pictures of jersey / patch cards as part of their checklist posting, so we the public can compare before buying? I wouldn't think it would be too difficult, especially for the higher end cards and it would benefit the card companies by keeping more trust in the hobby, thus keeping more people in the hobby.

    Thoughts...Thanks for reading
