That wasn't mean to insult Dekanich or York...I know they both have some potential. What I meant was that, while Mase is struggling, who can we go to? Dek and York haven't been around enough to prove that they can be consistent (and, quite frankly, they need more time). Garon was invaluable last year, especially when Steve Mason went on cold streaks. Curtis Sanford is the other option, and that doesn't sound particularly appealing either.
Moreso, I guess, I'm just disappointed with the season thus far. Thought they really had a chance to do something with Carter and Wiz, but the defense has struggled too much and Mase hasn't been above average. Still plenty of time for a turnaround!

™™™ is up with MASE. I know you can't blame everything on him, but what really changed from his RC season and a ton of SO's to this and last year?

I feel theres a lot that needs to be changed in this franchise. I really can't grasp how Mason goes from his 08-09 season to now. All I know is I'm tired of waiting on him its to the point we can't wait any longer. When ever he has a 08-09 game I think well maybe hes back then the very next game he's the total opposite. The sad thing is we have waited so long he really doesn't have much trade value at this time. In the off season we should have picked up a goalie who is constant but we didn't instead we get rid of Garon and now were where we are not.
I can't wait for Dekanich and Sanford to get healthy because at this point anyones better then Mason. I know we haven't seen much of Dekanich but what I did see in the preseason I liked but hell Mason looked good then to.
I also feel Howson/Arneal and Priest need to go. A couple weeks ago there was a rumor that both Howson and Arneal were getting replaced by Hitchcock and a former gm from Calgary can't remember his name though. They denied being contacted for the jobs though but I feel it was just a cover up because it wasn't suppose to get out yet. Priest told Arneal and Howson that they wouldn't be replaced until the team was healthy and they played a few games together well that time is coming soon, Both Boll and Juice have been at practice and I heard Dekanish could be off IR in 2 weeks.
I think once Juice and Carter are back well start scoring more so I'm hoping Dekanish can step up and be they goalie we need.

Can I be mad at Mason now? SIX GOALS IN LESS THAN TWO PERIODS. I was out until now, so I didn't get to watch any of it. But SIX FRIGGIN' GOALS? York hasn't been any better giving up two goals on five shots. Get rid of Mason, now. That's inexcusable. Eight points on the Columbus defense, but no points in the Bama/LSU game? Geez...

After watching the game tonight the only thing I can say is this was the worse performance I have ever seen with any team and any sport. It has gone beyond management/goalie problems. Tonight the only 2 that seemed to care was Bass and Dorsett.

Jackets acquired...Mark Letestu from Pitt for a fourth round pick. Happy to add another bottom-six forward, and see no point in this move unless he's going to learn to play goalie or defense.

not a bad pickup of letestu honestly. he had 15 goals last year playing with AHLers on the 3rd line for us. If your team gives him a chance he will score
