I'm not saying Letestu is a bad player or pick-up...but the Jackets have like six centers and are giving up four goals a game. Wouldn't you think a defenseman would be the most pressing need, assuming they aren't going for a #1 goalie midseason?

Jackets FINALLY get win #3 on the year against Winnipeg, behind two goals from Ryan Johansen...Steve Mason looked like the 08/09 Steve Mason and the Penalty Kill was great. The newest Jacket, Nikita Nikitin, really impressed me tonight. Maybe this can be a little spark...

Back on the losing streak...dropped a decision to Minnesota tonight 4-2 with goals from Vermette and Letestu. Last one was an empty-netter, but it's tough to give up three goals a game and expect to win.

Curtis Sanford > Steve Mason
Sanford played a helluva game tonight against the Bruins, even with the shootout loss. Only gave up one goal through regulation and OT, Jackets just couldn't push a second one through. My new guy, Nikita Nikitin, came through with a third assist; I like this guy a lot! Really showed some signs of life tonight; pretty happy with one point and a very solid showing against the defending Stanley Cup Champs.

Curtis Sanford = The Man
In his two starts, the Jackets pick up three points...including a HUGE win tonight in Nashville; the Jackets first in like five years. Wiz and Carter both had their first goals tonight for Columbus, including Wiz hitting a game-winner in Overtime! Much better than the Buckeyes tonight...

Just thought Id pop in to say that Ill be making a road trip with some friends next friday to see the Sabres take on the Jackets. Any good placed to have lunch beforehand? Anybody gonna be at the game? :)

I officially take back any degrading comments made toward Curtis Sanford. This guy has completely revived the Jackets with yet another win in a 4-1 W against Calgary tonight. Without doing the math, Sanford is pretty damn close to having more points than Mason this year and played in about thirty percent as many games. Yeah, I'm sold on Sanford!
