Chris Paul is just another reason I hate the NBA.

The owners should back out of the 'new' CBA right now, because they need to stop these players from killing small market franchises.

Someone show me any other sport where players do what these NBA players do? turn down more money to play with their buddies on a team with little winning history? Silly

Funny, because they should just look back to June to see what kind of team won the NBA title last season...

Yea, but I don't think it'll be a trend. It was bad enough when only 8 teams or so had a realistic shot to win it all, now it's gonna be down to 4-6 teams

According to all the local talk Jeff Foster is done in Indiana... Even though he was the first to show up at the facilities today... Dahntay Jones is also rumored to be done with the Pacers

That's not true at all. Baseball is far and away more competitive on a yearly basis. I'm not sure with the Tigers have to do with anything though, considering they were like 10th in payroll this past season.

Look at a year by year basis and look at the teams contending in Baseball, in tends to change a lot. In Basketball it doesn't. There's 4-6 teams at best that have a realistic chance to win a championship.

Besides, in the MLB you don't have to worry about the refs fixing games, whereas the NBA trys to do that.

It's obviously not fair to compare baseball to basketball straight up but I def see your pt and I don't really like how small market teams are getting killed in the NBA.

That's one of the reason there is no one trying to buy the Hornets.
You might be able to make some money by running a team, mostly from TV deals and luxury tax refunds (if you are a small market teams), but it's hard to win if you r Charlotte, or Milwaukee etc.

But just like the Memphis Grizzlies last year, or Oakland A's few years back, winning cheap is very much possible.

These superstars need spotlights, that's why Melo and Amare went to NY, A-Rod and CC stayed in NY.
