    Interesting conferences.

Florida and Tampa Bay in the NE, plus Winnipeg the lone Canadian team.

I'm curious what will happen to the future Phoenix team, if they do end up moving north and east.

If I read that right and I think I did, does this mean every team will play every other team at least once at home and again on the road?

    This isn't set in stone:

"The league has approved a four conference format, subject to NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman considering time frame implementation. Bettman will also speak to the NHLPA before implementing the changes."

(Refer to the link posted earlier tonight)

I'm from Kansas City and have not heard any recent news of a potential buyer wanting to move any NHL team here. Care to elaborate on these plans that are supposedly made?

Anyway, I have no issues with the new alignment. It will just take some getting used too.

Seems that way. And I like that concept. It does indeed make things much more balanced.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new conferences, but they can't please everybody. Still think it would be nice to get the Wings in with more original six match ups, but I'll take the easy wins that are the rest of the new division, minus Chicago.
