It's the later rounds of the playoffs that things get "outside the box" from what we've seen for the past generation.

Conference winners will be seeded 1-4, with 1v4 and 2v3. Geography will not be factored into it, so we could have Montreal vs. Vancouver and Florida vs. San Jose in the semi-finals. An "All East" or "All West" Stanley Cup Finals could transpire.

If you like Montreal vs. Boston in the playoffs, expect to see it just about every year.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Phoenix will be moved to Kansas, Florida to Seattle, plans are made take my word for it

I'm from Kansas City and have not heard any recent news of a potential buyer wanting to move any NHL team here. Care to elaborate on these plans that are supposedly made?

I'm interested also, because Buddy the Elf told me that Quebec City is planning on having and NHL team for next season

    :)

After looking at this again, wouldn't it be easier to just flip-flop Winnipeg with either Detroit or Columbus?

Keep the home and away format where everyone plays everyone twice and that would cut down the travel advantage the East has right now. Sure the West still has to come East but at least you'd make them do it too.

    I just know
Phoenix owned by league expires and Florida owner will get tired of losing money
    ( http://m.ticketmaster.com/event/0D004718EB447C7D?
    http://panthers.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=37501 )

Phoenix is placed in a very odd division
Nashiville is placed in a very odd division(I like Nashville as a southern team, they actually have fans, but how long that lasts, nobody can guess) and Florida placed in a very odd division
Tampa is a stick they aren't going anywhere

People called me stupid last year on numerous boards or in person for saying the thrashers were coming to winnipeg, but I knew(also had a source who owns a NHL team tell me) but look these teams are like butter melting it's day to day for them

Quebec will likely get one this year(Phoenix) and kansas or Seattle will get one within 5 years
Ontario gets another with 15 years

There's no sources for the crap I'm spewing out, stricly my thoughts and opinion based on evidence I provided(Florida losing millions and NHL owning yotes)

Laughable conference. So TB and Flr get the Habs, Bruins, and Leafs to save their butts in the stands. Nice work GMs, you must have went to the same school as Shanahan.

tb draws good, they have a strong fanbase, 17,000, averaging just 300 less than boston
dallas needs help, which is why they put them in winnipoegs conference.
phoenix REALLY needs help (dont want to say the average, because it is a disgrace to the game)

True abiout TB, I'v been to games there. All Canadian fans lol.

Dallas is realy hurting this season, I've never seen so many empty seats in the lower bowl. They should move everyone from one side of the arena to the other so it looks full on TV lol.
