Had a problem with 2 UD Series 1 boxes.

I bought them from a local hobby shop (I've bought from many times with no problem) and both boxes appeared normal until I opened packs. Many packs had only a filler card and 1-2 base cards. I received no YGs or GU in either box to boot.

I talked to the owner, he gave me the number off of the case and mentioned how no other boxes from the case were like that.

What is the best way to contact them about this kind of problem?

Probably call UD about this. Save your receipt and boxes in case they might ask for them in any instance.

I had this happen in 09-10. Bought a box, recived no Young Guns.

I sent an email to UD (though I'm told that calling them works much better now).

They will ask for the box tops (with hologram), a copy of the reciept, and I think something else now (part of the box, shows it was from a diamond dealer) and want you to mail all of that to them. They'll likely send you back the missing cards, but expect a turn around time of 60 days (or more)

Reputable enough that he has dealt with them in the past...

Was the box factory sealed with little Upper Deck logos on it?

    to quote them

"Please send the hologram sticker and the UPC code from the box or pack(s) and receipt with a copy of this email if possible to:...blah blah blah"

Hobby, and yes factory sealed. I've never seen a problem like this before, so I was stunned to say the least

Wow...I've never seen or heard of that before in hobby. I would try and do a telephone contact and try to call early in the morning (9am - 9:30am). I have always been successful in making contact quickly at that time.
Good luck and please keep us posted.
    James.
