Yes we will charge for sale done in the storefront. It would not be wise at all to make it free. The cost are there and if it become popular we could not keep hosting this application and pay for it with the little revenu SCF make of the publicity. But I can say that it be for low end or high end, it will be cheaper the eBAy or any other big store on Internet. There will not be listing free and you will only be charge on final sale price only and not on the total transaction that include shipping price. So on a 1$ sale + 2$ shipping, you will be charge a percentage only on the 1$ part.

Doing a free store would be putting SCF at risk financially. We need to be able to support it and pay for the developement of it. The goal is to offer a alternative that is much better organise in dipuste and quality of seller buyer along with lower fee.

I can promise you that we will not nickle and dime you. Currently, we are looking at a final sale value. No listing fees, etc. We will look at adding options to feature your option, but the idea is no listing fees.

I was more aiming it at the auctions though, which is what I think it going to draw the most interest. The store will be nice, but the auctions are gonna be the hit. I think.

Didn't expect you to nickle and dime us Mike. I don't think this is FCB.

Mike, any chance you can allow searches to work for the entirety of the day? I have brought this up numerous times, even from when I was still on the staff, to no avail. Heck, at 3 AM this morning the search function was still down because the "server was too busy."

Yes, that is part of the plan. I'm negotiating a new server with our host right now. I'm hoping to move SCF to a new, more powerful server by the end of next week. I'm hoping to more than double our processor speed and add another hard drive to speed things up. Both should make search much better.
