Chatham, ON, Card Store Burglarized
Saw this posted on another site. A heads-up for everybody in the community and surrounding areas to keep your eyes on the lookout for some possibly stolen merchandise:
Hey guys, some terrible news.. Cindy and I closed the shop on saturday night and we were robbed sometime between 7pm saturday night and 5pm sunday afternoon.
we were completely wiped out, im going to attach a link to our photobucket account, we have multiple cards that are 1/1's and most of us know that most cards are serial #'d now.
so if anyone here see's these cards pop up on the grid please inform the police.
just an estimate of what they took would be in the 30-40k range. the photobucket just have a tip of the iceburg as to what was taken.
The store is now close until further notice, most likely for good though. I have some cards on ebay right now listed under my user name " mikelucio " all cards listed have been stolen, but it'll give you an idea of the quality that was taken.
here is a link to the photobucket.

Lastly, I just want to thank everyone here at HI for any help and being good people since I became a member many years ago. Unfortunately this looks to be the end for us.
The thing that hurt me the most is that we made a lot of friends having the store, and we always looked forward to seeing them. its all over now.
take care

Truly awful news that something like this would happen. If you live in the area, if something from their bucket suddenly turns up, please do the right thing and report it to the police.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Wow, truly awful news. Hopefully the cards turn up or they had insurance to cover them in case this type of thing happened. Thanks for sharing.

I will keep an eye out for them also. I will also let the guys at the card shops I visit in Hamilton and Oakville area to be on the lookout.

Mike:
If the Chatham Police are involved and active with this, Are we able to contact them immediately if we notice any of your cards?
Certainly if I see anything, I'd PM you immediately, but do you have a contact Cop's Name, Rank, Phone Number, that you have permission to publish?
If we all get our eyes and ears out, we can find whomever did this heinous crime, and serve some justice ASAP.
Let us know what you are allowed to do within the confines of the investigation.
