It also helps that Amare didn't play last night and Melo only played 6 minutes, thats a lot of extra shots to go around!

It's easy to discount him like that, but while yes the points are definitely inflated due to the absence of the black holes, he basically led the Knicks B-Team over a not completely terrible (unlike hopeless New Jersey) Jazz team with a winning record. Also without Amare or Carmelo, he didn't have people drawing defenders away from him, which means those 28 points would've have to come from more difficult shots even though he had more shot opportunities. He shot 58% from the field which is impressive.

I'm not sold that he's going to be a superstar, but he's got good fundamentals and high basketball IQ, so I think he can be a solid PG in the league, people just constantly underestimate him since his high school days.

I'm glad to see him finally getting some significant playing time and majorly contributing to help the Knicks win. Also, notice that his cards received a spike in prices on Ebay with him playing so well in these past couple of games.

People are completely overspending on him right now. They're all going to get burned bad. Even players like Westbrook, Rose, Durant aren't getting that type of prices. Don't know what these people are thinking right now.

He played very well but it's getting WAY over hyped... Guys are getting 28 every night, and some off the bench.

Hundreds of NBA players could score 28 points too if they got 44 minutes and had such poor scoring teammates.
