Tebow got hype because his team won despite his horrid play. The Knicks are winning because Lin has played very well. Huge difference. Plus Lin isn't pushing his religion on everyone.Hidden Content

How the hype came about doesn't mean a thing. When all you here is non-stop Jeremy Lin, people will get annoyed. Just let him play.

Absolutely Lincredible. Got outplayed by Calderon all game, but still came out with a win and stole the show with a game winner yellow mamba style.

People will get annoyed if his play fails to justify the talk... hence people getting annoyed with the Tebow talk. So far, Jeremy Lin has justified the amount of chatter through his play. If you knock down the game winner and help your team come back from 17 down, I'd say that is enough to justify an ESPN segment and top play. Are you annoyed with him already? I think he's exciting to watch/listen to the radio (I listened to the whole game on the radio today... lol).

That post was originally made before he hit a game winning shot...

He has played well before tonight and justified the talk prior to the game today. I too hope that the hype and chatter will cool off when he does. But right now, I think it is great for the NBA to just hype him as much as they can, while they can, and make a huge profit in the global market. I totally agree with you, If he cools off, I hope they don't hype him like they did with Tebow because I can see how this would get annoying.

Not saying he doesn't deserve a ton of hype. There are just so many other things in sports that we don't need to hear every single person repeat over and over and over again their opinion on the situation (and everyone is pretty much just repeating what everyone else is saying). Just sit back and watch, no need to do what they do
